Dennis Basso FW 2012-13

With this collection, Dennis Basso introduced an elegant line-up of vanity cases in Russian broadtail and weekender bags in voluminous skins that are certain to be key statement pieces for the season. As extravagant as these items sound, they encapsulated the collection’s message to perfection and helped keep the significance on point. We loved them!

But it was the various new fur treatments that made both clients and editors swoon with delight and awe. Mr. Basso applied his unparalleled artistry and magical touch to introduce parka-like garments that appeared to be wool gabardine, but turned out to be micro-sheared fur. Then, he turned multi-fur compositions into colorful marvels.

 

To state that we loved this collection barely does it justice. It was not only strong, but truly directional. Mr. Basso is at the top of his game and this Fall 2012 collection is one of his best ever.
