Walk Topshop's Way this Spring Summer 2012

We've heard news from high-street fashion mecca (aka Topshop) that statement shoes are this season's game changers and we couldn't agree more. We're used to seeing various clothing items become each season's must-have, whilst shoes serve to be the necessary last piece in the puzzle, but it appears Spring Summer 2012 sees the spotlight move south towards one's footwear of choice. We have the sneaky suspicion they might just be on to something and their new SS12 shoot proves it.

Topshop's new SS12 shoot features various footwear trends we're seeing emerge for the season; from must-have metallics to chic sports luxe and want-full wedges, we're lusting after them all. Topshop claim the shoe of the season is the wedge high top which they've decided to feature in the shoot. It's theirATHLETE Wedge Heel Trainers which come in at a fairly reasonable £75 and is available in tan and silver grey. A second hero piece for the season according to their stylist Julia Sarr-Jamosis, is chic sandals with single across the toe straps. Like the sound of these? Us too. Check out their RAVER Perspex Sandals which are £55. The final style to look out for according to Topshop is a selection of, I quote, 'razzle-dazzle flats'. We think they're referencing some of their rather delectable sparkly flats here like their FIESTA Glitter Pool Sandals at £35 or if you want to splash out a bit more on some extra sparkle, their FIESTY Gold Glitter Sandals at £45.
