Best Dressed: 2012 Met Gala
It’s time for FASHION‘s equivalent of the Oscars. This year’s Met Gala (also known as the Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art) is all about the feathers, metallics, dark colours and peplum. Oh, did anyone see Beyonce‘s bum? *oops* There is a lot of love for Givenchy and Prada at the red carpet this year. But, it’s all about the battle – who will make the cut for Best Dressed at 2012 Met Gala? See the all the red carpet action on my Facebook Page and tell me which is your favourite. In the meantime, check out below for my Top 15 favourites:
January Jones lighted up the red carpet in this sculptural yellow Versace gown. And that necklace!
Oh Camilla Belle, marry me! You look like a 1920s screen siren in this gorgeous embellished Ralph Laurengown.
Carey Mulligan is a risk taker and this Prada paillette dress is such a stunner. Love the hair too!
Gwyneth Paltrow has all the right reasons to show off ‘that’ body of her in this Prada mini dress.
Rihanna looks silthering sexy in this reptilian-inspired black Tom Ford gown.
I just love the orange colour of Ginnifer Goodwin‘s Monique Luhllier gown with silver pumps.
Alright, Coco Rocha in vintage Givenchy previously owned by the late Elizabeth Taylor. I’m not crazy about the pink locks!
Karolina Kurkova looked statuesque in this custom-made sequined Rachel Zoe design.
Nina Dobrev is a show-stopper in this gorgeous Donna Karan Atelier creation.
Rooney Mara is back to the dark side in this Givenchy Spring Couture 2012 gown.
Anna Wintour looked divine in Prada. After six years of Chanel, the Queen Bee of Fashion has decided to stun in this updated version of Elsa Schiaparelli‘s famous lobster-embellished dress.
Diane Kruger is a purple Prada delight with feathers sweeping at her feet.
Cate Blanchett may be in black but she is fighting the feathers battle in this beautiful Alexander McQueengown.
You gotta give it to Chloe Sevigny for making a statement in this see-through Miu Miu design.
Scarlett Johansson picked this ethereal Dolce & Gabbana off-shoulder gown.
